Beijing, China –March 1, 2020 - SAP Concur recently released the next generation Fapiao Capture, catering to the unique needs of the China market with innovative digital technologies, which will help enterprises build efficient and compliant expense management processes, optimize the employee travel reimbursement and request experience, enhance intelligent financial management capabilities, and accelerate digital transformation.

According to the 2018 Deloitte China Mobile Consumer Survey, as a mobile technology powerhouse, China has a higher percentage of users making payment transactions via mobile devices than the global average. According to SAP Concur's recent study "Finance in the New World of Work", 42% of Chinese employees believe that they currently spend too much time and effort on financial processes, and that they would like to be able to submit reimbursement requests through an app anytime, anywhere. To meet this demand, the new solution has been optimized with the user in mind for both web and mobile applications and will increase employee satisfaction with a more transparent and smooth reimbursement experience.

After deploying the SAP Concur Fapiao Capture, users can directly obtain paper/electronic fapiaos from various channels such as WeChat Mini Programs, WeChat wallet and their photos, and upload them to mobile applications or web systems with one click. Users can obtain electronically verified information that validates authenticity without manual data entry.

With the support of automation technology, the SAP Concur application creates expense reports based on travel request information, automates data entry, and correlates authorized travel request with submitted expense reports. SAP Concur solution automates and simplifies the expense request and reimbursement process in compliance with the of the company’s travel allowance policies, allowing employees to request travel allowance in the mobile application. In addition, SAP Concur has optimized the web pages of the desktop-based system with a more modern design and streamlined interface that allows users to learn and use the system more intuitively, saving time and improving efficiency and the experience.

Complying with Tax Policies and Achieving Compliance

According to the ACFE's 2020 Global Study on Occupational Fraud and Abuse, more than 10% of annual budgets are spent on expenses and travel, and nearly one-third of fraud is the result of weak internal controls. Gaps in traditional reimbursement and expense management processes exacerbate the risk of non-compliant spending and can even affect business continuity.

The SAP Concur Fapiao Capture complies with China's tax policies, and laws and regulations, to help enterprises satisfy the authenticity verification requirements for both paper and e-fapiaos. Using advanced artificial intelligence and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, the solution accurately converts paper fapiaos into electronic data. It then interfaces with the IRS system to verify the authenticity of the fapiaos and the duplicate data and identifies and alerts on irregular expenses or potential fraudulent information, thus ensuring overall financial compliance.
